Honoring our Veterans and First Responders on 9/11 - ReStore Popups Event

Habitat Charlotte Region is excited to host Veterans and community members in commemoration and remembrance via popups at three of our affiliate’s ReStores (Wendover, Cornelius, Mooresville) to honor our Hometown Hero’s and Shero’s who are Veterans, Service Members and First Responders on Monday, September 11th.

On Monday, September 11th, community members and ReStore patrons will be able to learn about Habitat’s programs, including volunteer and AmeriCorps opportunities at each participating ReStore location via a dedicated information table/tent. We will also partner with local American Legion posts and additional Veteran serving organizations to participate in the event and connect with veterans to provide information to patrons on how to receive Veteran benefits, as well as how to become a Legionnaire. At each pop-up event, we plan to have a Habitat staff member, AmeriCorps member and Legion member present to share details about their programs. These community members and Retore patrons will be able to connect on ongoing engagement opportunities with our affiliate leading up to Veterans Day Saturday, November 11th.

Additionally, on September 11th only, Veterans, active-duty military personnel and all first responders will receive 15% off merchandise at all six of our ReStore locations with valid ID. Limited quantities of 3 x 5 American Flags with mounts will also be handed out to Veterans, active-duty military personnel and all First Responders with valid ID.
