Habitat Charlotte Region kicks off new construction in Statesville

On Wednesday, July 20, Habitat Charlotte Region gathered with community members and Habitat supporters in Statesville to celebrate construction beginning on two new homes on McLaughlin Street. The McLaughlin Street project will include a total of four new affordable homes that will be completed in 2023. These four homes for deserving families are part of Habitat Charlotte Region’s nearly $2 million investment in Statesville and surrounding communities.

At the event, we shared about our organization’s mission and program areas and heard from two future Statesville homeowners, Quannesia and Margaretta. We look forward to all that is to come as we continue to build relationships and address the need for affordable housing in the Statesville community.
