Unity Oaks
Unity Oaks is an upcoming Habitat Charlotte Region community that represents a bold approach to affordable housing. Located in a prime area of East Charlotte, this development will feature a mix of affordable and market-rate townhomes—creating a vibrant, inclusive neighborhood where families of all backgrounds can thrive.
This project is made possible through a unique partnership with True Homes, one of the region’s leading builders, the Merancas Land Foundation, who generously donated the property, and the City of Charlotte Housing Trust Fund. True Homes will handle the entire construction process—from site preparation to vertical build—ensuring exceptional quality and modern design. Then, once completed, Habitat Charlotte Region will purchase 35 of these townhome units to make them available to qualified homebuyers through our affordable homeownership program.
Each home will feature approximately 1,338 sqft of bright open living space, expansive modern kitchens, 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. This community is across the street from Reedy Creek Park, one of the largest parks in Charlotte, featuring 932 acres of nature preserve, walking trails, athletic courts, a dog park, and even a nature center with live animals and a gift shop.
Construction is expected to begin in late 2026 with the first homes scheduled to be completed in 2027. These modern townhomes will provide families with comfort, convenience, and quality with an affordable mortgage. By combining the resources of True Homes with Habitat’s mission-driven approach, we’re creating a community that reflects what’s possible when partnerships and generosity come together.
