This year has not been easy for most. For months, COVID-19 has caused cities and neighborhoods to shut down completely. Some children are learning from their desks at home and many businesses have closed their doors indefinitely. But it did not stop Habitat Charlotte Region from continuing to partner with families who have worked hard to build new homes for themselves and their families. We had to adjust the way we build to keep everyone safe, but with the hard work and dedication of our staff and unrelenting support from our community, we moved 25 families in to their new homes since the pandemic took hold.
While the past year has offered great challenges, we are still #thankful for so many things. From our Volunteers to Donors to the scores of Families that we’ve served, we wish you and your family a safe and prosperous Thanksgiving holiday.
Under normal circumstances, we would gather to celebrate the families who have moved in over the past twelve months. This year, we’ve had to do things a little differently. Watch this special Thanksgiving holiday video that features many of the families we have served this year, and who are now safe and secure in their affordable homes.
